Nordic environment images from the early summer season 2014 in Finland.  The early summer is a dynamic time in the natural Nordic  environment, most of the migrating water birds nest have hatched, and the rapid growth of the hatching is really noticeable.   The goslings of the hooter-swans have grown enormously by the end of June, also ducks and geese as well.

Summer flower season.

The summer flower season goes on and on, there are many types of flowers that flower at different times of the summer. The berry flower do have some variation as well, the wild strawberry plants flower first, followed by bilberry, then it is lingonberries turn with about two to three weeks gap in between. Wild raspberry shrubs flower at the same times as the lingonberry plants, it is not easy to notice when the raspberry flowers are blooming because they have no bright colors, the flower stamens are grey-white in color, there are no pedals just lots of stamens.  It is the mostly dull flower that I have seen on berry shrub or a fruit tree.  The bees  most likely see it very differently to the colors that the human eye sees it, also, the scent of the pollen could be attractive which the human does not easily detect without specifically trying to detect it close up.

The Nordic environment is a very dynamic environment during the mid to late spring season to early summer, it is like a powder keg that goes off when the weather warms up with sunlight and when there is sufficient moisture and rain.  It is understandable because the winter is so extremely cold and long (6 months).  The window of summer is very short, but there is also the endless sunlight during the summer that the environment does not sleep in the darkness of the night, the birds keep on singing and the plant keep on growing through the night.  Hopefully, you have enjoyed the Nordic environment images here and the links provided.
